We are the Duo Bandeirante featuring Andre Sinico, flute and Alvaro Henrique, guitar.

The Duo Bandeirante has the artistic goal to explore and conquest new paths for the Brazilian classical music repertoire written for flute and guitar, which includes not only performing music by Brazilian composers, but also showing a "Brazilian point-of-view" on the standard repertoire.

On the program "Discovering the Brazilian Music for Flute and Guitar", Duo Bandeirante presents works by Brazilian composers (Gnatalli, Vasconcelos Correa, Chnee, Souza Lima, Tacuchian, Sérgio de Oliveira and Villa-Lobos) written originally for this instrumentation. Several of these works were performed in very few ocasions, and each music brings its own unique view of what we call "brasilidade" (what makes one Brazilian).
